Congratulations to the 85 young Firefly performers who presented work to family, friends and carers last week. Livingston Explorers (P1-P3’s) kicked the week off at Howden Park with Why the Sun and the Moon Live in the Sky, closely followed by Livingston Juniors’ (P4-P7’s) eerie tour of a haunted house in Midnight Manor.
Devised entirely by themselves, Livingston Intermediates (S1& S2) presented Running, an ambitious expose of the illegal drugs industry and its hold on street, celebrity and political life.
Meanwhile, over in Armadale Youth Space, Armadale Adventurers (P4-P7’s) gave a superb debut performance with Sloth TV, keenly matched by Linlithgow Juniors (P4-P7’s) version of Gory Stories… at Linlithgow Burgh Halls (complete with compulsory wobbly scenery and multiple costume changes).
Congratulations to you all. We’ve thoroughly enjoyed working with you this term. Come back in September with lots of new ideas!
