Poems and Politics

Congratulations to our Blackridge group for an excellent performance of their show, Poems and Politics. It was a promenade piece throughout the Craig Inn Centre. They led the audience to scenes in the museum and the library, with some poems on the way and finally reaching the hall for their political debate to finish. They all performed very well and they took creating a piece of promenade theatre in their stride!  Kira and Kyla

Write to Reply

On Sunday the 19th of April we had our first writing workshop, Write to Reply. The day was lead by a session from our very own writer in residence, Ellie Stewart and then we had a workshop from our guest writers Magi and Ian. The day was really fun and hopefully everyone left with some new ideas and inspiration. Our next workshop is on Thursday 28th of May 6pm-8pm in Armadale Community Centre. Email to secure your place.

Take a look here at our video from our first workshop for a taster of what’s to come!

Our group in Boghall performed their devised show ‘Sayin’ Oor Piece’ on the 19th of March. With their soapboxes at the ready they all had something that they wanted to say about the world and this piece explored different things that they wanted people to hear.

Have a look at some footage from their creative process here.

Our group in Blackridge have been looking at different messages they would like would like the world to hear. They have spent this term creating a show, due to be performed in June, based on what they have to say and how it is important that they should be listened to. During one of their workshops they all came up with a message that they would like to leave around the Craig Inn Centre, where the group is based. Take a look here at what they’ve been up to.
