Firefly Arts is a long-established youth arts charity based in West Lothian. Our work is bold, collaborative, and deeply rooted in our community, with young people shaping everything we do. Firefly Arts has just been awarded Multi-Year Funding status by Creative Scotland.

OUR MISSION AND VISION 

Our mission is to provide quality and accessible drama, film and youth arts activity for children and young people aged 5 to 25 years across West Lothian. 

Our vision is that all young people in West Lothian are confident, creative and resourceful and are skilled-up for positive and proactive futures.

Voluntary Positions  

Voluntary Treasurer (Firefly Board Member) 

Firefly are currently looking for a voluntary treasurer to join our board. As Treasurer, you will play a vital role in supporting the financial governance of Firefly Arts, helping ensure the sustainability of our transformative work with young people. This is an opportunity to:

  • Gain experience in financial oversight and charity governance.
  • Help shape the future of an inclusive and creative youth theatre charity.
  • Enjoy the satisfaction of supporting a charity that nurtures young people’s creativity and confidence.
  • Build networks within the arts and charity sectors.
  • Contribute to Firefly’s commitment to equality, diversity, and neurodiversity.

This is a 3 year voluntary role, with a 1 day per month commitment and attendance at 4 board meetings per year is required.
